You may have heard about Google's problems in China this week, well in a shocking development in this story Microsoft have admitted this attack was possible due to a security hole in Internet Explorer.
Microsoft are currently working on a fix for this issue with the next schedules security update for the browser coming on the 9th Feb, but the problem is here that the security hole exists in not just one version of the browser, but versions 6, 7 and 8.
The problem is deemed that serious by the German Government that they are now urging people to start using an alternative browser.
I never thought I would be saying this but I join the German Government in urging any Internet Explorer users who are reading this to switch to an alternative such as Mozilla Firefox (my favourite, but some people think it's slowing down) or Google Chrome (becoming increasingly popular).
